Choose a Boolean operator to add a condition.

To apply multiple criteria for your search, select a boolean operator (and, or, except). Choosing 'and' finds all records that match all specified criteria. Choosing 'or' results in all records that match any of the criteria. 'Except' excludes specific records from a larger initial result set.

A second query line will appear, and (in Internet Explorer) the selected operator is highlighted. A third query line may be added to further hone the results.

Combining 'and' and 'or' searches may yield unexpected results, due to the way SQL evaluates them. If you have trouble getting the results you wish, you may want to contact the project director for assistance in designing your query. It may help to break complex queries down into multiple separate ones.
